Join the Ford Development Team in Barcelona from February 28 to March 1 for the Mobile World Congress and experience the latest in in-car technology demonstrated through SYNC 3 with AppLink.
Ford is collaborating with start-ups, major businesses and industry leaders across the globe to make the car more connected than ever before. From delivering your favourite navigation apps to helping you connect to meetings, Ford is making your car journey as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Make It Driveable
In addition to showcasing exciting new apps from within their partner ecosystem, this year Ford is also focusing on their Make It Driveable initiative which allows them to engage with local and international start-ups from across Europe.
The Make It Driveable initiative is what Ford calls its ‘fast lane for start-ups’, and offers business, market and tech opportunities to fledgling start-ups. The last Make It Driveable event which was held in Paris included a hackathon, mentor sessions as well as real customer focus groups.
So far Ford has run app challenges in Paris, Berlin, Dublin and Tel Aviv, and provides software and technology to the app developer community through the SYNC AppLink Developer Program – with more than 20,000 registered users. The free SYNC Emulator software enables developers to create and test apps for compatibility with the automaker’s connectivity system – without needing to access an actual vehicle.
Details on the next series of Make It Driveable events, which Ford will be hosting at various venues across Europe later in the year, will be announced at the Congress.
