The annual North American Broadcasters Show is where the people who make great streaming audio and video content interact with the cutting-edge technology that makes it happen.

That's why Ford Global Lead for Business Development and Partner Management Scott Burnell was invited to deliver a keynote speech about the interaction of the SYNC3 in-car entertainment platform with the media habits of the modern American:

"Streaming music, content, weather and sports and everything else is being accessed on the smartphone. This is where habits are being developed today,” Burnell told hundreds of attendees, according to RadioWorld's recap. “We are evolving in the car as well. There is rear seat entertainment. There are multiple displays in vehicles. There will come a day where car windows will be interactive."

Though radio remains the overwhelmingly popular choice for in-car entertainment, Americans' media habits are changing quickly—and Ford's SYNC3 platform and advanced in-car displays give developers the power to create streaming media experiences even smartphones can't replicate.

Eventually, Burnell said, the car will be the new living room: home to the kind of audio, video and interactive experiences families gather around and bond over. It's a game-changing opportunity for content creators and developers alike. The Ford Developer Program is your key to the connected car of tomorrow—and today.
